Editorial policy
Making tools that explain their results
This policy defines the criteria used to publish and improve ElectroDesignForge content. It prioritises technical usefulness, original explanations, and the ability to verify assumptions.
Before publication
Each reference sheet or guide must answer a concrete question and bring an explanation specific to this site. Pages are not created merely to capture a keyword or duplicate an existing list.
- Define the units, formula, and assumptions used.
- Add a checkable example and validity limits.
- Cite relevant standards, datasheets, or reference methods.
- Connect the page to useful tools and references, without artificial links.
Corrections and updates
When an error is reported, we review the data, calculation, and source involved. A substantial correction must update the affected content and its review date; we avoid hiding a correction behind vague rewording.
Standards evolve and products change. A technical reference should therefore be reviewed when a change in standard, method, or component could alter a reader’s decision.
Independence and limits
Content is educational and is not safety, compliance, medical, legal, or financial advice. No automatic result removes the need for review by a qualified person for a product, installation, or high-risk context.
